An hour of wriggly, raw, (new) wavy, and acidic bangers, this mix deconstructs the ever-false braindance - bodydance dichotomy like it's nothing, and leaves us with Dance. Pure and simple. This is no surprise from DykeChow of course - she's been melting brains and dancefloors all over Detroit recently and she's just getting started, so slip on your wiggling shoes and loosen your grip on your cerebral viscosity because once that first blorp hits there is no going back.
Inspector hails from Chicago and is one half of renowned hardware duo easygoingtech. She both DJs and plays solo hardware as Inspector; for this edition of Spin Cycle she's graced us with an all-vinyl mix. Donde Estamos brings a taste of the global music scene to the Midwest. Each record played is a memory of a party in Beijing or Santiago. The room decor is a foggy recollection of an afters in Viña del Mar or a club night in Dalian. All this gets placed within a wrapper of Midwest sensibility and presented as a public service - Viva la underground.
